The ideal time to let your manager know you are applying for another position within RCU is before you apply. Your manager may be able to provide you with tips on how to prepare for an interview.

As a best practice, we advise that you work in your current position for a minimum of 6 months before applying for a new role within the organization. This time frame ensures that staffing and service levels within your current department are maintained, and that you complete at least one performance evaluation in your current position.

The recruiter will review your application. If you meet the minimum requirements, recruiter will contact you with next steps, answer any questions you have about the process and will forward your application to the hiring manager.
The hiring manager will reach out to directly to schedule a meeting to discuss the role.

The Recruiter reviews the overall work history and experience of the Applicant in relation to the role they are applying to. Although candidates do not need to meet 100% of the job description, there should be relevant or transferable skills and qualifications specific to the role to be considered.

Read the job description in full to ensure you understand the role.
Research the department page on RCU Net to get a better understanding of the existing Team and what they do.
Practice using the STAR method when answering interview questions (link to Indeed article – Get to Know Candidates with the STAR Interview Format). It is always best to use real life examples;
*Situation – describe the issue
*Task – what was your role in the situation
*Action – how did you address or overcome the challenge

Be concise with your answers. Your time is limited in an interview so be thoughtful about your response. Answer the question and give the Interviewer a chance to ask clarifying questions if more detail is needed.

Once you have officially applied through Lever, the Talent Acquisition Team and the Hiring Manager will be able to see your application.
PPP Forgiveness Application Deadline
Congress passed The Economic Aid Act which changed the deferment period from 6 months post covered period to 10 months post covered period. For example, if your covered period ended June 30, 2021, under the new guidelines the earliest your first loan payment wouldn’t be due until April 2022, and you have until then to request forgiveness. Please use the following calculation to help you identify when your forgiveness will be due:
- PPP borrowers may select a covered period anywhere from 8 weeks to 24 weeks.
- RCU is automatically calculating your loan due date based on a 24-week covered period, if you intend on using a shorter covered period please inform us immediately as this will impact your due date.
- Your correct deadline will be reflected in your online banking account.
If all or part of your PPP loan is not forgiven, your first loan payment will be due the first of the following month after a decision is made by the SBA.
