Mobile Wallet

June 8, 2020

A mobile wallet is an app on your mobile device that stores payment information so you can use the device to make purchases. With mobile wallet, you can pay using phones, tablets, and even smart watches. It’s very convenient because you can store all your payment card information in one place, and you don’t need to carry the cards with you. For some people, that means no more bulky wallet!

Add your RCU Visa® cards to the mobile wallet app on your phone or wearable device and enjoy touchless checkout. Here are three good reasons to embrace this form of payment:

    • You can use your favorite device. RCU cards are compatible with Apple Pay®, Google Pay®, Samsung Pay®, Garmin Pay, and Fitbit Pay®.
    • Pay conveniently. Look for the contactless symbol on the terminal at checkout and hold your phone or device over the symbol to pay.
    • Get an added layer of security. Your card number is not stored on your device or shared with merchants during transactions.

Mobile wallet transactions tend to be quicker than paying with cash or a credit card. When you’re ready to pay, just open the app and touch your phone to the reader next to the register. To learn more, visit redwoodcu.org/mobilewallet.
