Letter of Interest
Thank you for your interest in a grant from Redwood Credit Union. As you can imagine, we receive hundreds of requests each year from throughout the Bay Area counties we serve and are continually inspired by the amazing work being done to address so many important issues in our communities.
At Redwood Credit Union, we focus on charitable giving to programs and services that have demonstrated significant impact in addressing one or more of the following areas:
- Housing and Food Security
- Education and Workforce Development
- Health and Financial Wellness
- Environment
If your organization addresses one or more of these needs and serves our communities in Napa, Marin, San Francisco, Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino Counties, we invite you to submit a Letter of Interest any time. We will be in touch with you if we would like to see a full proposal.
Our typical grant amount ranges from $5,000-$10,000 but we will thoughtfully review each proposal on its merits. Please note that we do not provide grants for general operating support.
Though we are not able to grant every request, we look forward to reviewing your LOI and learning more about the work your organization is doing in our community.
If you have any questions regarding requirements and/or processes listed above, please call us at 1 (800) 479-7928 x 65413.
Again, thank you for all you do.

PPP Forgiveness Application Deadline
Congress passed The Economic Aid Act which changed the deferment period from 6 months post covered period to 10 months post covered period. For example, if your covered period ended June 30, 2021, under the new guidelines the earliest your first loan payment wouldn’t be due until April 2022, and you have until then to request forgiveness. Please use the following calculation to help you identify when your forgiveness will be due:
- PPP borrowers may select a covered period anywhere from 8 weeks to 24 weeks.
- RCU is automatically calculating your loan due date based on a 24-week covered period, if you intend on using a shorter covered period please inform us immediately as this will impact your due date.
- Your correct deadline will be reflected in your online banking account.
If all or part of your PPP loan is not forgiven, your first loan payment will be due the first of the following month after a decision is made by the SBA.
