Business RCUpay is Redwood Credit Union’s fast and secure digital payment solution designed to help businesses send one-off payments directly to individuals through digital banking.

Money can be claimed almost immediately after sending. It may take an additional 1-3 business days for the funds to appear in the accounts of people who don't bank with RCU.

That’s right, RCUpay is a completely free service for any RCU Members. You can send as many transactions as you like (up to the maximum dollar amount disclosed when sending an RCUpay).

With our new recurring payments feature, your business can now schedule automatic payments to vendors, contractors, partners, or any recipient directly from your RCU account. Set it up once, and payments are sent on time, every time—weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly.

FAQ

  • Nope! You can send money to anyone who has a U.S. bank account. You just need their phone number or email.

  • Yes! Other RCU Members can claim their funds almost instantly. For people outside of RCU transfers are generally completed within 1 business day or less, but may take up to 3 business days.

    • One-time payments are debited immediately from your account and processed once your recipient claims the funds.
    • Recurring payments are debited on the scheduled payment date, as long as funds are available prior to the start of the business day. They are debited 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Your recipient will have 10 days to claim the funds from the initial notification/start date. They will need to claim the funds in order for them to be processed to their account. Once claimed they will occur until the series is complete or you cancel it.
    • Payments that are not claimed by the recipient will be credited back to your account on the 11th day.
  • You can set up recurring payments to send at the following intervals: monthly, weekly, biweekly or quarterly. There are three options for how long a recurring payments will last: no end date – the payment will continue sending until cancelled, after a specific number of payments, or ending by a specific date.

  • We’ve made it easy! For current RCU Members, you’ll just need to enter your username and password to digital banking and select the account you want to deposit the funds in. If you don’t bank with RCU, you will just need the routing number and account number for the account you would like to send it to.

  • You are free to cancel a recurring payment any time. Please note that one-time payments can not currently be cancelled.

  • A security word adds an extra layer of security onto your transaction and is there for your protection. Sending the security word to someone ensures the payment goes to the correct recipient so that your money is protected against sending to the wrong person. Learn more about security words.

  • Venmo is a registered trademark of PayPal, Inc. Zelle® is a registered trademark of Early Warning Services, LLC. Certain restrictions may apply. Recipient must have a US bank account. Once a recipient claims their funds, transfers are generally completed within 1 business day or less, but may take up to 3 business days. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile Banking from RCU is free, but you may incur data charges from your carrier/service plan. Please check with your carrier and service plan on specific charges.

    Recurring payments may be sent on set frequency and will continue according to the payment instructions. Sufficient available funds must be available for the recurring payment to be processed and missed payments are the Member’s responsibility to resend.
