Clark Matthiessen has been part of the Redwood Credit Union team since 2001. With over two decades of experience in financial services, Clark is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® who specializes in retirement and wealth management. His deep understanding of financial strategies, combined with a strong commitment to your personal journey, empowers Members to confidently pursue their financial goals.

Clark’s investment philosophy includes a strong emphasis on education, as he believes an educated investor makes a better investor. Clark enjoys being a resource for Members, helping them understand various investment risks and opportunities. He specializes in developing and implementing financial plans specific to Members’ needs.

Clark earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, graduating cum laude from Sonoma State University. His resilience was tested during the 2017 Tubbs Fire in Sonoma County, when he lost his home. This reinforced his determination to help Members manage their financial futures. In addition to his CFP® designation, Clark holds the CRPCTM and CWS® designations, demonstrating his dedication to acting in the best interest of his clients.
